The Only Sneakers I’m Wearing This Summer

It may come as no surprise if you’ve been following me for a while to learn that summer is my favorite season. I love my warm weather wardrobe and while I enjoy adding trendy or special occasion pieces to my collection, I am always on the hunt for clothes and accessories that strike a perfect balance between comfort and style and are suited for everyday living. I’m excited to announce that the comfiest sneakers have been discovered.

I already touched upon my love for comfy Taos sneakers in a recent post, but I’m here with an update after wearing them for over two months.

First and foremost for me is always comfort. I have bought more shoes than I care to admit that were gorgeous but just not comfortable enough to wear. At this point in my life, I have no time or patience for uncomfortable shoes. If it pinches or causes blisters, it has no place in my closet!

I have been so pleasantly surprised by how comfortable these sneakers are and they’ve quickly shot to the top of the list of my favorite shoes this season. I had the opportunity to try out any style I wanted from the brand, thinking they would be just another cute pair of sneakers to add to my shoe collection. I was honestly impressed by the arch support built into the footbed lining, and never expected that from a casual canvas sneaker.

Usually, on days when I’m traveling or walking a lot, I reach for my athletic/training sneakers because I know my “cuter” sneakers won’t support me for long. My feet honestly feel better after a long day in my Taos sneakers than my training ones. I later discovered that they’re designed with people in mind who are on their feet and walking all day. Perfect for if you have a job where you stand a lot during the day as well.

Added bonus: the footbed lining is treated with an antimicrobial shield for lasting protection against odor, staining and deterioration so that your shoes can stay fresh longer. I wish all shoes came with this.

style

The style of this brand is what captured my attention in the first place. I am so into sneaks and love the canvas look. I’ll stick a pair with a dress, skirt or jeans and they always work.

I chose the Plim Soul style mostly because I love this tropical print it came in and how it suits my new Florida lifestyle quite well. I have my eye on some solid colors next, because you can’t have enough little white sneakers! There are so many styles, colors, widths and sizes – you will definitely find a pair that suits your style and needs.
