Ciao tutti!
I’ve recently come across some amazing new finds in the green beauty space that are really helping my skin with the transition between seasons. I don’t know about you, but my skin starts acting up as the weather changes and I have to pay special attention to it going into the fall and winter. Today I’m sharing with you my newest skincare finds that are all (as always) safe, chemical free and work. 😊
1. La Bella Figura · The Clean Slate
This beautiful company has long been a favorite of mine. Since discovering their Barbary Fig Seed Oil almost two years ago, they’ve been on my radar as a pioneer in the green beauty industry. Their latest product is The Clean Slate — a rinsable cleansing concentrate that dissolves makeup, debris and pollution on dry or wet skin. I’ve never seen another product quite like this one that is able to rinse completely off without leaving an oily residue and can remove makeup on dry skin. So cool!
I’ve started incorporating this lovely stuff into my skincare regimen at night before showering. I use the top of my nail to scrape a little bit onto my (dry) face, and massage all over in little circles. I jump in the shower to rinse it off and voila— my face is completely clean. Too easy and made of all good stuff.
In case you didn’t know, traditional makeup removers today contain a whole bunch of junk that absorbs into your skin and can have suboptimal effects (to say the least). For a product that you use every single day, the investment is worth it.
2. Herbivore · Lapis Oil
I took a sample of this product home from a local beauty store and I saw immediate improvements. I have occasional breakouts on my forehead and this facial oil is designed to balance the skin and reduce inflammation and redness in combination or oily skin. The Azulene content in this oil is responsible for all these amazing benefits and I can tell you that the effects are immediate. It’s a non-greasy oil that absorbs quickly and works its magic right away.
Lapis Oil gets that gorgeous blue color from its Blue Tansy oil content and this incredible Azulene component. Other key ingredients are jojoba oil, kukui nut oil, squalane, and jasmine sambac oil.
I apply about five drops in the morning and evening to a clean face and let it absorb for three minutes before applying any makeup. SO worth the investment. I’ve never found anything that works this well for me.

3. Burt’s Bees · Facial Cleansing Oil
I’ve recently switched to a cleansing oil for my face in an effort to better moisturize in a more natural and less abrasive way. I picked up this cleansing oil that contains argan and coconut oils at the supermarket and am loving the switch. I still use it with my Clarisonic cleansing brush and it feels very hydrating and gentle on my skin.
I will say that it feels like it leaves a little bit of an oily residue behind, but I just give my face an extra rinse and pat dry to combat that. I like to use this product at the end of the day when I’m not removing a ton of makeup and just need an easy, moisturizing cleanse.

4. Glossier · Perfecting Skin Tint
“In the land between bare skin and makeup makeup exists the imperceptible wash of color that is our Perfecting Skin Tint.” <- Glossier says it best themsleves.
The Skin Tint is a super light tint that doesn’t feel or look heavy on the skin, while giving you a little coverage that evens out discolorations in your skin tone. It doesn’t cake on, clog pores, or feel heavy and leaves you with a dewy glow and a natural look.
I’ve never been a foundation girl and always gravitate toward these lighter formulas. I’m loving this product and anything that doesn’t clog pores is a “go” in my book.

5. Arbonne · Clear Brow Gel
I already wrote about this product in a previous post about chemical free skincare, but I’m covering it again today because I’ve been hooked on it for the last couple months!
For those that know me, you’ll know I am an eyebrow fanatic and it’s harder than I thought to find a light, non-crunchy clear eyebrow gel to keep the hairs in place. Colored gels don’t work for me, as I have enough fullness in my brows and I’m not looking to add any color, so I stick with clear gel to keep the hairs in place all day.
The cool thing about this gel is that there are three extracts (Buddleja davidii, marrubium vulgare, and thyme) that work to condition the skin too. Bonus! See my previous post for a free gift with purchase through my consultant!
Have any of you tried these products yet? What other green beauty must-haves have you found?
A presto,
Amanda ❤️
I have heard great things about the Burts Bees Cleansing Oil! I will have to give it a try! Thanks for sharing! xo

Yeah it works really well! Leaves that little bit of oily feeling but I just wipe with a washcloth after. Otherwise I love the way it doesn’t dry my skin out. 🙂
The Lapis Facial Oil looks amazing! I love face oils and I want to try this one for sure.

The Lapis Oil is life-changing. Honest to god, I’ve never used anything natural that was able to reduce inflammation like this can and it’s been keeping things balanced too over the time I’ve been using it. So so worth it. xo
Several of these are new to me. I’m excited to try them- especially the cleansing products. Awesome post!

Thank you love!! Yes! They are rocking my world. Especially the Lapis Oil – omg so amazing. xo
I like these suggestions! Will have to give a couple of them a try. Always trying to find the most natural, cruelty free, eco friendly skin care products I can. On a side note I never ever tone (oopsy!) as always felt rinsing off with water was just fine but after reading a bit more I decided to use a hydrosol (I went for rose), think it’s helping my skin as well as the weather changes.

That’s awesome that you found something that works. I like toning too with witch hazel but I always take breaks and rotate through products too to give my skin a rest. And obviously some stuff works and some doesn’t so I just experiment rather than following any trends out there! 🙂
I didn’t know these ones! Many thanks fro sharing <3
It all sounds really cool 🙂 http://briannamarielifestyle.com/

Thank you for liking my post! I have been looking into trying a mild facial cleanser that keeps the moisture locked in – looks like Burt’s bees cleansing oil worked for you – will try the same 🙂

Yeah, I do like this one, it just definitely takes another wipe of a towel or something to get the oily feeling off after. But it’s great if you want that extra moisture! xo
