10 Quotes for Inner Peace

10 Quotes for Inner Peace

Buongiorno!

I’ve come across some AMAZING quotes lately and I just keep going back to them for little reminders of how to discipline my mind and foster a lasting calmness.  I keep really special quotes on my phone and refer to them when I need to recenter, so I wanted to share my latest favorites with you guys.  What better way to kick off the week? 🙂

As you may have seen in my Lovin’ Lately post recently, I just read this incredible little book “Zen and the Art of Happiness” by Chris Prentiss.  There were so many powerful quotes and messages throughout that book that continue to play in my mind, so I thought I’d gather a bunch for some Monday motivation for you!

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world. —Buddha

Which one was your favorite? One that gave me chills when I read it a few days ago was the Chris Prentiss quote.  It is so simple but it just hit me so hard.  I wish you all a positive and peaceful week! <3

Love,
Amanda

I like the Roald Dahl quote because it stresses the active search. Seems to me I’ve used the quote in one of my posts. 🙂

My favourite is the Nikos Kazantzakis’ one, which I already knew from long ago (and which I do know is absolutely true!). Also the last one, from Buddha, saying more or less the same… Thanks for sharing them all 🙂 ❤

oh, I loved these…. thanks for that!! I loved them all, but it really hit me, the Chris Prentiss one, I love that one. It’s soooo true!! I was contemplating going to mexico with my daughter who is studying in another city and meeting her in mexico for 5 days. It’s only 5 days, but that’s all we got, and we should take it because there’s nothing else. Life will just continue to fly by and next thing you know, it’ll be September again!!! What else is there in life, if you can’t meet up with the ones you love!!?? 🙂

All of these quotes are so inspirational, but the one that really resonated with me is the Carlos Castaneda one; I spend so much time worrying and making myself miserable, while I should be spending that time being positive and making my dreams come true. This quote is a great reminder of that!
