When life gives you lemons…

…you wear them as part of a damn cute outfit.

The second I came across this dress online, I knew it needed to be mine (muahaha). And I wasn’t surprised to see that it is part of Eva Mendes’ collection with New York & Company because she has the most elegant, timeless, classy style.  My favorite style is that old fashioned, Sofia Loren, sophisticated, classic style- midi length skirts and dresses, shapes that highlight the waist, ultra feminine colors and patterns.

This lemon print screamed old Italy to me, and I had to have it! Then I saw that they made several different pieces with the print in the collection, so I had to get the skirt too! (See below 😉 ) I held off a little bit on buying it, hoping it would go on sale, and I soon discovered that New York & Company frequently has phenomenal sales that slash prices!! You have to sign up for their emails and you will be shocked at how many sales they have!

Anyways, this dress can be dressed up or down. It can easily be a day dress or special occasion dress and is well worth the (cheap now that it’s on sale!!) buy.

…you pair said lemons with an adorable crop top and call it a day.

I love the skirt aaaalmost as much as the dress. Can’t stand this print, it’s too beautiful.  The skirt can be paired with a number of different tops. I chose this gray little crop to make more of a casual day outfit.  But you could easily tuck in a white or gray t-shirt or pair it with a body suit and take it somewhere dressier.
