Hi everyone!
I’ve been thinking about this idea for a while, and I’m excited to start getting some spiritual-based, soul food kind of posts up. It really brings joy to my heart to help even one person navigate their way through a tough situation, or gain some new insight, so I want to offer some “big picture” advice as a fixture in my blog.
When I was two years old, my mom (age 32) had her “spiritual awakening” (let’s call it) in life. She discovered her true faith and found true answers to her big life questions– a big leap from the explanations of her religious faith that she was brought up with in Southern Italy- via a very aware woman that she came in contact with who is still an extremely close friend of ours today. From that point on, my mom, my sister, and I have been on a constant journey of discovering more and more about spirit/the universe/source/God- however you choose to call it. Through a number of different teachers, we have come across the most beautiful and fulfilling information and explanations about life, interpersonal relationships, and how to find strength when faced with life’s inevitable obstacles.
The information that I have received and continue to receive today has helped me to understand life in a very big picture way- guiding me through the toughest lessons and helping me to extract the beauty out of everything.
I feel that, if it works for me, it may work for someone else, which I have already seen in sharing some information with friends and family throughout the years. So here I am 🙂
My spirituality is something that I have always felt I had to hide, out of fear of being misunderstood and made fun of (I was actually harassed in middle school after I mentioned to a friend some of my more spiritual thoughts).
My mom recently passed away, and this has just launched me even further into my spiritual growth and understanding that I’m just bursting at the seams to share with you. I don’t have those fears of rejection anymore, or really any fears at all for that matter, as I’ve been faced with my “worst possible scenario” and have turned it into something empowering and have made such meaning from it.
So this is my beginning of speaking very openly in my life about my thoughts, reasonings, and answers I find to ring true in my heart.
As always, I hope you enjoy.
Love,
Amanda
