Hellooo friends,
I wanted to get another makeup look up with the emphasis this time on creating big, round eyes. Enjoy!
EYES:
To give that doe-eyed look, I wanted to make the whole lid super light and just emphasize the crease a bit. Giving a round shape to the eyelid helps give the illusion of a big, bright eye.
I used the Urban Decay Naked palette for all of the eye shadow in this look.
First I covered the whole lid from the lash line to the crease in a mix between “Virgin” and “Naked” with my Sephora Collection “base shadow” brush, similar HERE. I wanted to get as much color as possible on the lid to make it pop so I dipped my brush in Mac Fix+ before applying.
Once the lid was looking pretty light all over, I wanted to go in the crease with a fluffy blending brush and define it a bit to create that round shape I’m looking
for. I used my Sephora Collection #10 brush and brushed the color “Buck” back and forth over the crease. P.s. this brush is amazing for getting the perfect distribution of color in the
crease. Recent awesome discovery 😉
After the crease was a bit shaded, I went back in to the lid with my previous brush, this time with a mix of “Virgin” and “Sin” to add a bit of shimmer and make the lid even brighter.
I didn’t want to use eyeliner, and definitely not liquid liner, because it can make the eye appear smaller. I just went in with my Mac Kohl liner in Smolder and really messily darkened up my upper lash line. Then I just smudged it out a tiny bit with my Sephora Collection #29 smudge brush. I didn’t apply any eye liner of my lower lash line.
Next up is mascara. I think fluffy, long lashes are a must to complete this bright eyed look. I put on some Loreal Telescopic Mascara and I was finished with the eyes!
FACE:
I used mostly the same products as I did in my other post “My 5 Minute Everyday Fresh Face Look” so I’ll just recap briefly:
For my face, I used Revlon Photo Ready liquid foundation in Nude 004, blending it in with my fingers first, and then going over it with a damp beauty blender.
I knew I wanted to apply under eye concealer to help make my eyes pop, so I applied my favorite, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard and blended again with my beauty blender.
Then I contoured lightly with my kabuki style brush and my Kiko Bronzer Powder in 104. I lightly contoured the hollows of my cheeks, my hair line, and my jaw line.
LIPS:
For my lips I used a mix of Gerard Cosmetics’ Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity and Kiko’s Smart Lipstick in 901 “Natural Beige”. Serenity by itself was a little too pinky, so I like the muted version that came out after the mix with a more nude color.
There you have it! A natural, fresh look, to emphasize the size of the eyes!
Hope you enjoyed! xxx
Ciao loves,
Amanda
